Birthday Book Club

Do you have a child with a December birthday?

Celebrate the big day with a Birthday Book!  All books need to be purchased by November 15th to guarantee a December delivery.

Don’t forget about your child with a January birthday!  Books for January need to be purchased by December 15th.  Order today before you get swamped with your holiday shopping!

Boosterthon 2019

Boosterthon 2019 is here!

Mark your calendars for the Boosterthon Wilchester Fun Run on November 14th!  And, register your student on using our school’s registration code: 234-823 or by searching for Wilchester Elementary.  Your student receives a prize just for being registered!

Boosterton is a 6-day character-building program and school fundraiser for which students will be gathering pledges for the laps they complete during the fun run, usually 30-35 laps.  Funds raised will be ear-marked to help start the renovation of our track here on campus.

School-wide participation is our goal this year, at any level, with new an fun incentives.


Save the Date for STEMfest

Mark your calendars now for Wilchester’s 2nd Annual STEMfest! Friday, February 7, 2020, 5-8:00pm.

What is STEMfest?  It’s a unique event where families can explore and engage in science-based, hands-on activities.  Build the tallest structure using only index cards!  Visit the International Spact Staion in “The Dome!”  Learn about coding!  Watch what happens when you mix hydrogen peroxide, dry yeast, water and soap!  The fun and possibilites are endless.  Info about meal options and prizes coming soon.  Visit the STEMfest page for more details.

Sister School Program

Annual Sister School Turkey Drive!

Each year, Wilchester families donate Thanksgiving turkeys to our wonderful sister school, Spring Shadows Elementary.  Last year we donated 60 turkeys – let’s beat that this year!

Volunteers will be in the carpool lane collecting FROZEN turkeys on the morning of Friday, November 22nd.  Please consider donating.

Additionally, our Sister School, Spring Shadows Elementary, has ongoing needs for the Blessing in a Backpack program. Blessings in a Backpack is a weekend food program for children at risk of going hungry. Wilchester helps by collecting food donations each month and by delivering bags to students at Spring Shadows every Friday.

November’s food focus item is Canned Chili with Meat (15 oz. can).

A huge THANK YOU to WCE for donating 92 jackets, 77 packs of underwear, and 17 packs of socks to Spring Shadows Elementary students!

Math & Reading Stars

Star_KidsCalling all 1st-5th Graders: Do you want to be a Star?

The Math and Reading Stars program begins in October and runs through April.  It helps encourage your 1st-5th grade child to practice and reinforce important math and reading skills.  It’s also a great opportunity to earn medals while learning!

Morning Movers meets on Tuesdays & Thursdays!

Morning Movers meets every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 7:25 – 7:45am.  Meet on the hardtop for fun music, and from there the students will start walking, jogging, or running!  Students’ mileage is tracked, with a fun goal of collectively covering enough miles to make it to Disneyland by the end of the school year!

Kroger Community Rewards!

Wilchester PTA is now registered for Community Rewards through the Kroger Rewards Card!  This means every time you shop at Kroger and use your Rewards card, WCE PTA will receive a percentage of what you spend.  All participants must first register our school with your Rewards card.
Go to and log in.  If you do not have a log in you can easily create one, it only takes a few seconds.  Then search for Wilchester PTA or input our number, AF975.  That’s it!  Your card is now active!  Just use your Kroger Card each time you shop and to help benefit Wilchester!



Randall’s Good Neighbor Program

Did you know that shopping at Randall’s can earn money for our school? Wilchester earns significant “free” income dollars from all of the families supporting Wilchester with the Randall’s “Good Neighbor Program”.  When you shop and swipe your Randalls Card, a percentage of your bill will be automatically donated back to Wilchester.  Click here to print a Good Neighbor Program form.  Simply fill it out and submit it to the Courtesy Booth at your local Randalls.


America Recycles Day

Wilchester will be participating in America Recylcles Day on Friday, November 15 by collecting recyclable plastic including: plastic grocery bags, newspaper sleeves, dry cleaning bags, bread bags, Ziploc bags, Amazon pouches, bubble wrap, flexible plastic packaging film, etc.  Save these items and have your child bring them to school on November 15th.  The grade with the most plastic collected will receive a popsicle party to celebrate!
