Cleaning Out Your Playroom Over the Holidays?

Consider saving those items for the Carnival Fun Junk and Stuffed Animal booths! Fun Junk and Stuffed Animals can be dropped off at the following homes starting this week:

Drop off for Fun Junk: Paula Phillips (13318 St. Mary’s Lane) and
Jordan Amis (890 N. Wilcrest Drive)

Drop off for Stuffed Animals: Kerry Brendel (13603 Tosca Lane) and
Sarah Heinecke (13623 Tosca Lane)

What is “Fun Junk”?
Fun Junk is not “junk” at all!  Fun Junk consists of small toys that your child no longer plays with, but another child might really like. Those items like party favors, fast food toys, bouncy balls, matchbox cars, small figurines, beanie babies, and toy jewelry are all great ideas! Please don’t hesitate to ask Emily McCarroll ( about what qualifies as “Fun Junk”.

Stuffed animals should be new or gently used without rips, stain, or missing parts.

Interested Wilchester Students and Parents are invited to an Odyssey of the Mind information session and to meet other interested families on Thursday, September 27th, from 5-6PM in the library. We will explain the process, timeline and current team formations at WCE, and answer any questions you may have. It will be a great opportunity to meet other interested families and assess coaching opportunities

Our Regional Odyssey leaders are also hosting a more general information session : Houston Region Awareness meeting for Parents and Teachers on Saturday September 29th, from 1 to 3 pm, at the Awty International School, 7455 Awty School Lane. No rsvp necessary. You will learn why students are begging to join a team. It is a fun, educational way to learn how to solve problems. “The sport that isn’t a sport…”

Please contact Elizabeth Lovering for more information, or if you can’t make the meeting, but want to join a team or coach.

Randall’s Good Neighbor Program

Did you know that shopping at Randall’s can earn money for our school? Wilchester earns significant “free” income dollars from all of the families supporting Wilchester with the Randall’s “Good Neighbor Program”.  When you shop and swipe your Randalls Card, a percentage of your bill will be automatically donated back to Wilchester.  Click here to print a Good Neighbor Program form.  Simply fill it out and submit it to the Courtesy Booth at your local Randalls.

You need to register to a volunteer through SBISD to be able to volunteer at the school and in the classroom. Please do this by October 1st. Click here to register to volunteer with SBISD. This needs to be redone every year. If you plan to volunteer at multiple schools in SBISD, you can check the boxes for each school on the same application.
You can join Wilchester PTA by clicking here. This also needs to be renewed every school year.
