Please join us in recognizing our 2019-2020 Wilchester PTA Award Recipients!

Each year at our PTA Spring Luncheon, we honor our PTA Award winners chosen for the school year. Please take a minute to watch the accompanying video that details the volunteer work and dedication each winner has given to Wilchester. We are so thankful for each of these volunteers, many of whom are outgoing 5th grade moms. While it might not be the way we usually honor these recipients, we want them to know how much we love them!

Thank you to each of our PTA Award recipients, and to all our PTA volunteers for a wonderful, but crazy, 2019-2020 school year! We are so thankful for each and every one of you!  Click here to watch a video from Courtney Robertson.

State of the School Address

Mrs. Goodman and the administrative team hosted the 2nd annual State of the School Address on Wednesday May 20th at 7pm

This live Zoom event was also recorded for those parents unable to attend in real time. The State of the School Address is posted here, and Mrs. Goodman will post the recording in next week’s Sunday Note.

Mrs. Goodman will be sharing highlights from the 19-20 school year, reflecting on all that has been learned through distance learning, and lay out goals for the 20-21 school year.

We Love our Outgoing 5th Grade Moms!

Each year at our PTA Spring Style Show and Luncheon, we take time in our celebration of the past school year to honor our Outgoing 5th Grade moms (meaning their last child is graduating from WCE). We were so disappointed to not be able to host the Spring Style Show and Luncheon this year, so instead we invited them to provide photos and Words of Wisdom, which are usually all part of the luncheon program, and we compiled them into a fantastic video to honor this amazing group of moms.

We hope you enjoy this video made in their honor, and take the time to listen to their sage advice!

Please know that each of you will be incredibly missed and Wilchester is so thankful for all the time, energy, money and support you have given over the years. We love you all!

SBISD current closure notice

Dear SBISD Employees and Families,

In alignment with Governor Abbott’s Executive Order issued this afternoon, Spring Branch ISD will extend the timeline for the suspension of our normal operations through May 1, 2020. The earliest we would return to school would be Monday, May 4.

We will review our reopening plans the week of April 27. We also will continue to align with guidance from local, state and national government and health agencies.

SBISD plans to continue supporting our students’ learning via the online Digital Backpack, and we plan to continue providing Grab and Go Meals while the district remains closed.

We understand the impact of the district’s sustained closure on our families, staff and community. We very much appreciate your continued patience and support as we continue to work as swiftly and effectively as possible to support you all at this time.

We also ask all of the Spring Branch Family to abide by the City of Houston and Harris County Stay Home Work Safe and social distancing guidelines. It’s up to all of us to do our part as we face this health crisis together.

Jennifer Blaine, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
