WCE Sister School Program

February Food Focus:

February  food donation for Bayou City Blessings in a Backpack is Peanut Butter and Squeeze Jelly.
Food donations can be dropped off in the box located in the school’s front lobby.

Wilchester  Elementary is part of SBISD Sister School Solution Program and has proudly supported Spring  Shadows Elementary as our sister school since 2011.  The program is designed to improve education, support teachers’ needs and most importantly to support the basic  food and clothing needs of children.   Our student council is actively involved in conducting drives such as our annual coat and turkey drives. Other activities include the implementation of Blessings in a Backpack with many Spring Shadows students.  Both schools benefit from a community partnership that teaches everyone firsthand about gratitude and giving back.

Volunteer Opportunities – We Need Your Help!

100% of the children Spring Shadows qualify for free and reduced lunch.  For the upcoming school year, Wilchester volunteers will help deliver 500 weekend bags through our partnership with Bayou City Blessings in a Backpack.  We are looking for volunteers to pack bags, transport bags and deliver bags to the children in the program.  If you would like to help, please contact Marty Chapman or Darcy Martin Gagnon at the e-mail addresses below.
